Question Push and Pull exercises on same day?


I see more workout routines pairing shoulders with chest, I always thought you weren't suppose to do 2 pushing type body parts on the same day. I always thought your best routines were push and pull body parts on the same day ie. Chest and Biceps, Back and Triceps, and legs always has there own day due to the fatigue factor. Anyone have any thoughts on which type of routine is better?

I've been working out with the push/pull for over 20 years and love it. I also heard its gaining in popularity everywhere. Do your chest first on push days and your biceps first on pull days.

Thanks for the response, I do try and mix it up every 3 weeks or so and change my routine all together to create some "Muscle Confusion". Thanks again...
