Default Stuck in the bench

Hello all,
I am new to the forum and to weightlifting. I can not seem to get my bench to raise. I have added 100 lbs to my squat and dead lift in a short time but no matter what I try to do I can't raise my bench. Please give some helpful hints if you have any.

Cool Re: Stuck in the bench

Hi, Try doing some bottom position bench presses for awhile. Use a squat rack or power rack with the catcher pins positioned so that you can place the bar where it will brush your chest in the bottom position. Starting from the bottom is more difficult, a nice change and very benificial. Also, try the stripping method of using as an example 4 (25lb) on each side and ask someone (preferrably 2 people) strip off 25lbs after you press it to exhaustion. Then another 25lbs, etc. Of course 10lbs weights can work also.
