Default German Volume Training

this is a basic and simple training method that definately worked for me last year when i tried it.
it involves doing 10 sets of 10 reps each of one basic exercise and then you follow up with 3 sets of 10 reps of isolation exercises.
here is an example of a chest routine:
flat bench press......10sets*10reps
incline dumbbell flies......3sets*10 reps

maybe it sounds weird but do not underestimate this method.i did too, until i tried it

That seems like way too many sets. I might only do 10-12 total sets when I work chest. So that would be the entire workout. I guess that is okay, but I would kill myself doing 10 reps of the same exercise.

100 bench presses? I would probably put all the weight down by the time I was near the end. I'd be lifting air, and still be having trouble!

I've heard that those German fellows have superior intellects as far as designing things goes. I'd probably be willing to entrust my life to this workout plan.

Because of my great spite for the germans, I cannot bring myself to do these exercises. However, if they ever happen to be re-labeled under a different nationality then I will consider them.

Hey I know what you mean, that "superior german engineering" from the commercials! Anyways this sounds really interesting, but I doubt I'll ever try it. I find it hard to switch to new routines once I'm accustomed to one.

HAHA, those commercials are great. Germans have a lot of good ideas, and this exercise seems like one of them. I think I'll give it a try when I work out today. I'll report back and let you know how it goes.

Sorry man, that's kind of weird. Why exactly do you hate germans so much? And just because it's German doesn't mean the exercise is worse.
