Guys, I'm so excited by this book I picked up in the library today. It's written by Peggy Brill (a physical therapist) and is called The Core Program. Brill has an EXCELLENT core training routine that needs to be done for only 15 minutes a day. No joke (and no, I don't have stock in her book, lol). Check if your local library has this book. Chapter Seven is where the routine begins. Yay! I'm so happy to find a book that actually contains great info and exercises.
Can you give a little bit of an example in terms of exercises?. I have an old book I am trying to find by the Governor of California. I actually got the book when I was young and it had a great core routine that I did for years, but I lost my copy of the book.
I am looking for something just like this. Something that can be done without a lot of extra items and in a relatively short period of time.
Hmm, I'll look for it. I've been pretty devoted to this book I currently have, and it's been working great for me. But I'm always into throwing a bit of different exercises into the mix. What kind of stuff does it emphasize?
I'm not sure where I got my current program from, but I think its pretty much the same as that. Maybe we got it from the same place! It's worked wonders for me though. You should see me flex my head.
That program is definitely core. I usually like to do a few more things besides the ones mentioned, mainly neck, ankles, wrists, etc. I guess I could work those in between the mentioned ones.
Just 15 minutes a day? It doesn't seem like someone could be very thorough with that short of a workout. Well, I'll look into the book and see if it really lives up to how good you say it is!
