Default Creatine

I've started using creatine to help my body recover after training. Is there any other products I can take with creatine to increase my recovery rate?

Not to side-track your thread because I do not have any alternative solutions. However, what kind of recovery time changes are you seeing with the creatine and how long have you been taking it? I was going to get into it several years ago, right before the whole Mark McGwire thing, and decided not to use it.

So I would be curious if you have noticed any benefit yet. Are you able to train particular bodyparts with more frequency?

I started using creatine at the beginning of the year on advice from a friend who is into body building and swears by it. He’s been using it for over 4 years. I take it after cycling and running. I’ve decided to get back into gym work this year and have been building up my general fitness level (I’m not as young as I use to be). I started going to the gym 2 weeks ago and am using a 5 week body conditioning plan before I start on heavy weight lifting. I can not say I’ve really notice if creatine is working, but, hope I will when I start pushing heavier weights. I’ll let you know in about 4 weeks. I was not aware of any story regard Mark McGwire and creatine. I’ll have a look on the Internet, thanks for the eyes up.

Can you tell me what the benefits of creatine are if you know of any. I don't really have any knowledge on this.

creatine makes the muscle cells able to retain more water.this obviously results in a larger muscle mass and greater strengh.
carpas, try taking creatine along with some dextrose after training.dextrose will improve the transportation of creatine to the muscles and also refuel your body with glycogen

that is absolutely true, but creatine has other roles as well.creatine forms fosfocreatine which is the most abundent molecule of anergy in the human body, stocking 13000 calories per mol.that means that is more abundent that the ATP!when the ATP is no longer available, the fosfo creatine transfers energy to the ATP which transfers energy to where it is needed in the body

Creatine really is an amazing product... it does so much to aid the average bodybuilder! It has like 7 different ways it can benefit someone. I'm impressed.

Is there any side-effects or bad sides of it; seems like everytime a good product pops up, some nasty side-effects exist

I've had the impression in the past that way too many people use creatine. It's like a fad or something. I don't like to conform to silly fads, so I stick to non-creatinal supplements.
